Remember Anastasia, the animated film? It was based on a true story of czar’s family, overthrown during a revolution. The real story was never told in the film.

The body of Prince Alexei was never found, and so was Anastasia. Thus, the story of the Queen looking for his long lost grand daughter was made. It was partly true. But the grandmother never lost her when they got separated at the train station. A lot of impostors came, in the hope that hey will be regarded as the lost Anastasia. But the real story was their family was gunned down and the house where they were shot was burned to the ground.
Archaeologists believe that they have found the bones of the missing heir, Prince Alexei. The bones belong to a boy, whose age likely resembles Alexei and a young woman (strongly believed as Anastasia)
A decade ago, remains of Nicholas, his wife and his three children, were found but the authenticity of their bodies were shadowed by the Russian Orthodoxy’s doubt.
