I  don’t think I could still remember the old Die Hard movies. If ever I did watch one. It’s been 12 years since the last movie and I was still in Grade Six then. While watching the movie last night, it’s hard to believe Bruce Willis is already 52 year-old bald guy who has the power to kick bad-ass.

So what’s so crazy about this toy porn movie for overgrown boys? (Let’s face it, this is one helluva opportunity for geeks to unite).Well, it features robots. Not just any robots, but characters we have grown to love during our childhood. And if you’re not familiar, with the Autobots and Decepticons saga, you’d still enjoy watching this movie.

I watched Pirates 3  last night, and I went out of the movie house smiling and wondering if there’s another Pirates movie coming soon. That good! The movie made us hanging on for Will and Elizabeth’s love story. Though we saw it unfold, it really was that short. Of course, it focused dearly on Jack Sparrow, but I would say that every character in the film was given enough exposure and credit. Even the Filipino guy, Reggie Lee, who played Tai Huang, Pirate Lord Sao Feng’s assisstant, was seen throughout the movie. He even outlived Sao Feng! Amazing feat, er, I mean part to be taken up for a Filipino, right?

I have yet to forgive the makers of this film. Which I don’t think they’ll be getting  anytime soon. Or the rest of the world’s forgiveness for that matter. This movie was so feverishly anticipated. My words here are not based on Spidey 3’s being a blockbuster hit. Or being shown in all cinemas here in the Philippines. But, storyline speaking, it’s a wonder how one person can stay long inside the moviehouse without getting bored. Tobey Maguire’s sad puppy dog eyes might have worked on Spiderman 1 and 2. But to use that look again on Spiderman 3?!

Just watched this movie last night with Nico. And sure enough, it lifted my spirits. (I’m not having a good day here in the office.) The movie sticked to one plot. Which is good because I don’t have enough energy to sort some bizarre twisted plots like the other movies offer. A simpleton (which means Nico and I are) would have understood this movie.
