Filipino communities around the world got pissed off after a dissing remark was made by Teri Hatcher’s character from Desperate Housewives.
The episode in which Teri’s character was in denial of her menopausal stage, these lines were said by Susan Mayer: Before we go any further, can I check the diplomas ‘cause I would just like to make sure that they’re not from some med schools in the Philippines.
How stupid these writers could get? They should have made some research before making that script. As for Teri, she should have thought about her lines if it’s morally upright for her to say them. It’s not something that you could retract easily. Racist remarks should be apprehended.
We Filipinos should not be forcing an apology from them. If they have enough sense, apologies are not something to be imposed from someone. There are a lot of Filipino doctors around the world making names in the industry. They are hardworking and they excel with what they do. Insults like these from ignorant people should not be ignored. I’m not saying that we should ban Teri’s shows or movies here in our country, like before with Claire Danes after she made the derogatory remark that our country is filled with rats. Like as if New York doesn’t have a rat. The government must do something about this.
To everyone, kindly use your brain. It’s the only proof that you have one.

How is it that just anyone can publish a blog and get as popular as this?
