Of course, Britney Spears did it again.
Launching her highly anticipated comeback at the MTV Video Music Awards, I can see why the Jive Records might postpone, or worse cancel the release of her album with the single “Gimme More”.
Her opening performance for the VMA was full of crap- she must have forgotten how to lip-sync and dance in tune with a song. Her once taut body was embarrassingly out of shape. (Hey I’m a mother already so I wouldn’t dare to walk in public clad in that outfit. I mean, what the hell was she thinking?)
Somewhere, I can almost hear her ex-husband Kevin Federline laughing out loud. Tsk. It was painful to watch her. I myself was embarrassed on her behalf. I hope her sons would never learn about this in the future. Argh, the humiliation they could suffer because of their shameless mother. Rapper 50 Cent was panned out in the camera with a stunned look on his face. Britney’s new BFF was expressionless. Well, Sarah Silverman was merciless in declaring that Spears’ children were the most adorable mistakes she (Britney) had made.
The MTV VMA was surprisingly surprising. They’ve cut their show from three hours to two. Kanye West threw a tantrum after losing all five categories for which he was nominated. No surprise on that one because of his stage crashing act in last year’s MTV Europe Awards. Pamela Anderson’s ex –husbands Tommy Lee and Kid Rock got into a fight while Alicia Keys was performing. MTV has decided to focus on performances than on the show. Each artist hosted a separate suite parties, where much of the shows were held. I think that was one of the ploy of MTV to increase its declining ratings over the years.
Should have think twice for asking Britney to do the opening act. Well, it’s undeniable that it was the talked about performance. Too bad it’s because of all the wrong reasons.
