In my shoes….er, I mean opinion….
Why is it people who can’t take advice always insist on giving advice to someone else? I don’t know why but I am one of those people.
Though I really try to adhere on what other people guidance, most of the time (emphasis on the word MOST), I end up going my way. There really is no cure for it, is there? But the only comforting thought that I have is I am not alone.
Survey says 63% of the female population never listens to other people’s advice. Even if it is a professional advice. Meaning, from a licensed person who is authorized to give an advice. Counselors, psychologists, name it. Which is good. I never believe that those who haven’t been in your shoes would understand anyway.
But, if women can’t take advice, why would they bother giving someone else one? Is it because women are feeling superior in nature? Is it intrinsic for us to feel like we-know-it-and-you-don’t? Or, the survey is a hoax? Which is it?
Maybe because it’s normal for us, women, to overlook this thing and go on our merry way of giving advice to someone who looks like they need one, unsolicited or not. It’s not as if we’re trying to make them feel like we know more, they know less. It’s more of like an involuntary muscle in our eye, which blinks even if our mind did not tell it to do so. I guess it really is inherent in women to feel sympathy for those in need that they’d end up giving advice.

Good points ! I would notice that as anyone who in reality doesn’t write on blogs a lot (if truth be told, this may be my first publish), I don’t assume the term ‘lurker’ is very changing into to a non-posting reader.
