My Happy Place

Everyone has their own idiosyncrasies. Well, I admit mine’s crazy. As in hoop-la crazy. Each time I sink into a catatonic stage of depression, I try to climb my way out of it. How? By going to my own happy place.

In my happy place, the whole mess is over and done with. Everything’s under control. No mayhem. No one is against me and him. In my happy place, we are both passionately in love with each other. It’s not just me. It’s a two-way relationship.

At one part of my happy place, we are on a beach and I’m content with his arms around me. Our gazes locked for a moment as if we couldn’t get enough of one another. He’s looking at me as if he liked what he’s seeing – ME.

In my happy place, he’s just not pretending to love me back. He’s not lying each time he tells me the words I so badly wanted to hear: I love you. In my happy place, I’m not upset and I don’t cry much of the time because I know he means what he syas. He really cares how I feel.
