I recently overheard the song by John Mayers over the radio, but I never had the chance to know the title. It goes like this: When you’re dreaming with a broken heart, waking up is the hardest part. So true.

Well, I’m not actually speaking for myself. I’m speaking in behalf of my male friends *note: i’m still referring to my guy friend from my previous post. * He seeks for my advice every now and then. I really can’t help him! I told him a thousand times that he ’s the only one who can do it. I already told him that he should snap out of it. Get a grip. Pick the pieces of his beart and move on.
But I think the word closure is alien to him. To him, it’s a term helpful in Math subject. I told him that moving on isn’t easy as I make it sound. He must go through several stages. First is denial. And right now, I can tell that he’s been in that stage for a year. After the stage of denial, comes the madness. The stage where you keep on asking where did you go wrong. No matter how many times you ask yourself, epiphany won’t come. Shit happens. She fell out of love. Move on. *note: I can’t tell him that. He’s very sensitive right now.*
Moving along, comes acceptance. This is the part when all your energy is spent from all the rantings and you’ve come into terms that she isn’t coming back. The next part is moving on. I sure hope I’ll see my friend on this part. This is the part that you’ll begin to embark again on another journey of love.
So, maybe he’ll find himself asking: When is it over? Am I okay?
Answer should be: When I’m willing and ready. (This should be a mantra from video discussing breakups.) I told him that if he keeps on wallowing on self-pity and telling himself that he’s still not ready, he will never be.
