raining cats and dogs….

I have a friend who recently got married last year. Both of them are not getting younger. *note:hope she won’t read this, or else* But, the thing is, they don’t want to have a child. Yet.

I’m not being righteous and call my own experience to be the right one, because it wasn’t. I got pregnant at an early age, and my daughter will celebrate her 2nd birthday this year. *note:we won’t be throwing any parties though* They spend too much emotion and time on their pet, though. Their feline pets.

I have nothing against cats. I mean I love them. Or rather, I love looking at them. But I won’t spend a damn thing on them like what my friend and her husband do. They spend on their kitty litter, cat food, shampoo. I mean, they ought to be spending it o their own child. But no,. Their feline cats are the ones treated as a baby.

Now, pet lover, don’t hate me. I like pets. Love them so much that when I was a kid, I would go inside my dog’s house and cuddle my dog until my father saw me and I had a verbal lashing I thought my mom was only capable of. But my dog’s house, it’s not like what you see on MTV Cribs though. Or your typical dog boarding. I had my father ask one of his friends, who was a carpenter, to build a house for my dog. When I was 7, I can still fit inside the dog’s house. But eventually, I can’t. Thanks to my asthma.

Bottom line is, I’m not pressuring my friend to have a baby. I’m not saying that she shouldn’t either. I just want my opions to be heard. But personally, having a baby is way so much fun and fulfilling than to watch you cat and dog roam around the house. Albeit, complicated. But every time, money and emotion are well-spent.

Though i really hate it, whenever I show my daughter’s pictures to them, she’d come up with a picture of her cat. I don’t know, but it’s like, comparing my baby to a cat. *sighs* I think I’ve come up why I would hate that feline animal.
